This years Festival Parade is honoring Muskego Icetronauts celebrating their 40th Anniversary!!!!!!
 
The parade begins at 11:00 AM on Sunday.  Parade route begins at Janesville Road and Lannon Road and proceeds west down Janesville to Racine Avenue, then south to the Festival Grounds on Racine and Pioneer Drive.

Muskego Community Festival Parade Officials reserve the right to disallow any unit for non-compliance.

Muskego Community Festival & Parade

Complete the parade application.  Entries must be received by July 30, 2008.  Entries will be limited to keep the parade at 1½ hour in length.  The Parade Committee approves all entries.  If your unit is not accepted, you will be contacted in a timely fashion.

PARADE GUIDELINES & RULES

 

  1. COMMERCIAL ENTRIES WELCOME BUT MUST PROVIDE ENTERTAINMENT VALUE.   

 

  1. NO VEHICLES ALLOWED IN PARADE UNLESS:  PULLING A FLOAT, DRIVING A DIGNITARY, OR PROVIDING ENTERTAINMENT VALUE.

 

  1. NON PARADE VEHICLES PARK AT END OF PARADE ROUTE.

 

  1. ELECTED OFFICIALS ARE ALLOWED IN PARADE ONLY.  NO OTHER CANDIDATES ARE ALLOWED. 

 

  1. WINNERS OF LOCAL TITLES (MISS MUSKEGO, ETC.) ARE ALLOWED.  NON-LOCAL TITLE WINNERS ARE ALLOWED BASED ON SPACE AVAILABILITY.

 

  1. HORSES AND OTHER LARGE ANIMALS WILL BE PLACED AT THE END OF THE PARADE ROUTE.

 

  1. FOR THE SAFETY OF CHILDREN, NO CANDY THROWING FROM MOVING VEHICLES.  ROLL OR HAND CANDY TO CHILDREN IN A SAFE MANNER.

 

  1. WATER GUNS, SILLY STRING, ETC. ARE NOT ALLOWED.

 

  1. REGISTRATOIN REQUIRED FOR ALL UNITS.

JUDGING UNITS

 

Bands and musical groups will be judged on quality of sound, presentation and theme.

 

Floats and all other unit categories will be judged from each category based on execution of theme, originality, and overall presentation.

 

Award recognitions will be posted and available for pick up at

Information Booth at 2:30 pm until close.
