Muskego Community Festival

The annual Muskego Community Festival is held the fourth weekend of August at Veteran’s Memorial Park next to Muskego City Hall.

In 1987, community leaders determined the quality of life and community spirit of Muskego residents would be improved by the city having a weekend long family orientated community event.  The festival is often referred to as “the official end of summer.”

The Muskego Community Festival offers free admission, carnival rides, diversified food court featuring catered dinners by prominent area restaurants and musical performances by Milwaukee area’s hottest bands.

Festival Sunday features the Muskego Community Festival Parade.  In past years, the festival has offered a petting zoo, magic shows, light shows, professional wrestling, trout fishing, historical site tours, antique tractor displays, circus and stage shows such as Kids from Wisconsin and New Horizon Singers.

Organization of the festival is a partnership between the City of Muskego and volunteer workers from Muskego’s nine service organizations:  Muskego Area Chamber of Commerce,  Little Muskego Lake Association,  Muskego Moose Lodge #1057,  Muskego VFW  #8171, American Legion  #356, Muskego Icetronauts Snowmobile Club, Muskego Athletic Association and Muskego Woman’s Club,  Muskego Lion’s Club.
